Michelle and her husband, Andy, are deeply rooted in the Pickerington community. They both love Pickerington, which has kept them here and actively contributed to its growth and development. Together, they have raised four vibrant adult children, Jake, Anna, Grace, and Sarah, and are now enjoying their new grandbaby, Eliza.
It is important to Michelle to build a solid faith foundation within their home and family. While spending time together as a family, they enjoy many fun activities such as camping, boating, and hiking. Michelle and her husband have been attending and actively involved in many areas of ministry here at our church for well over 40 years. Michelle is a Pastor at Life City Church, mainly serving the children and families. As the pastor of children’s ministry, she enjoys providing children’s programs that support families while strengthening and encouraging each child’s relationship with the Lord.
Michelle graduated from Columbus Christian High School in Columbus, Ohio and then attended Ohio University, where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Arts with an emphasis in Social Science and a concentration in Early Childhood education. Since graduating, Michelle has had many professional opportunities that have equipped her to start a Christian preschool, and she has now grown into our academy. Previously, Michelle was the Director of KinderCare Learning Center in Pickerington, which had an active enrollment of 80 – 100 children. She also has enjoyed being a preschool and a pre-kindergarten teacher. She has well over 30 years of experience in the early childhood field. Another opportunity that Michelle enjoyed was her healthcare experience as a Nurse’s Aide for the Postpartum Unit at Grant Medical Center. Nurturing children is just part of her nature.
Michelle's vision for ALC Academy is a testament to her commitment to providing a nurturing and educational environment. In 2013, she started and developed Trinity Learning Center Preschool LLC with herself and eight precious children. Over the years, Michelle has kept her ear to God regarding the school's direction, guidance, and growth. She is driven by a clear calling from God as the school’s director. Michelle is passionate about equipping children with a Christian curriculum that prepares them for Agape’s advanced education. Her vision is to show children and their families God’s love while providing a warm and nurturing environment for the next step in their learning journey.
